hey bud,
I'm Rebecca

I am A certified cannabis coach, but I'm also a medical patient who has found success with cannabis.

My story is not unlike many others you will and maybe even have already heard. I suffer from major depression, anxiety, PTSD, fibromyalgia, highly problematic sleep, migraines, and a chronic knee syndrome that used to render me way too often unable to even get out of bed, let alone complete daily activities, work, and manage to keep social requirements. Cannabis has significantly improved my own well-being in nearly every aspect of my life, so much so that I've devoted my work to it.

Some history: I was never a cannabis user; in fact, I’m sure I have some readers chuckling at how my stance has completely changed. I was even a DARE Essay Award Winning author back in 1995 at the ripe old age of 10. (We moved cities coincidentally at the same time the DARE program did. What luck!) The program was important to me at the time because I was experiencing struggles at home that I subsequently credited to drug use. That's what I was learning in school, after all. I didn’t even take aspirin until my late 20’s, let alone smoke weed. Not a chance.

I had no choice but to undo years of misinformation and fear once I began learning more and more about how cannabis could help me as the diagnosis rolled in and the traditional treatments didn't work. Cannabis was really my last resort. I did the research, the cannabis did the work, and I see the results in every single aspect of my life, a lot of it still in combination with my existing traditional treatments. Is it a miracle? No. I still have my struggles. The difference is I can manage them so much better.

Although this may sound like it was an easy journey, it has actually taken years of investment in time, energy, money, commitment, frustration, and lots of tears to get here. The struggle that I faced, and I know many others do, is that a one-stop resource for cannabis knowledge and support from start to finish simply does not exist. What is out there is nearly impossible to navigate and it's confusing. Not to mention, when you're already exhausted by physical pain and the ongoing quest to find relief from chronic illness, any extra work at all can feel overwhelming, insurmountable, and depressing. This is where I come in.

I received my professional training as a certified cannabis coach at the Natural Wellness Academy, which is accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I deeply believe in the importance of regulating the endocannabinoid system for a variety of health concerns as a result of my education, continued research, my own experience, and the countless stories of clients, friends, family, and classmates, in books and on tv. I believe in science. I believe in empathy, kindness, and living life by the Golden Rule. And I believe in the cannabis plant.

Let me help you navigate this powerful plant and empower you with the knowledge you need to succeed!

my favorites list

Strains: Northern Lights, Lilac Diesel, SFV OG, Wedding Cake

Delivery Method: Flower, all day, via a nice cone. A six-shooter will change your life.

Terpene: I could wear a sign saying, “Ask me about Beta-Caryophyllene, the Super Terpene that does it all!” and I’d never get sick of chatting about it. Incidentally, I am the same way about whales, specifically the Southern Resident Orca population up near Seattle. I digress.

Drivable distance dispensary: Local to me in Ohio, The Botanist takes the cake. If you're day-tripping, Ann Arbor is your spot. Check out Bloom City Club for great starter edibles and the experience and Information Entropy and Herbana for everything else. Med patients, Green Genie in Detroit is always an excellent time.

Not so drivable: The Reef in Seattle, WA gave us the coolest little lighters to remember them by. It's all about the little things.

BookS: The Rebel’s Apothecary- Jenny Sansouci, Smoke Signals- Martin A. Lee

Show: Weediquette (Vice/Hulu) for education, Weeds (Peacock) for fun.

Movie: Weed The People (Netflix)

True Crime: Murder Mountain (Netflix)

famous Stoners: Kacey Musgraves and Yoda (he just has to be, right?)

Song: Toss up. Tom Petty- You Don’t Know How It Feels, Beatles- Got to Get You Into My Life, Cypress Hill- Hits From The Bong, Willie Nelson- Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die

Stoned activity: Hiking. Nature. Sometimes just sitting outside. Whatever the strain speaks. Also, eating. And sleeping. And getting daily activities done. Since we're in the trust tree.

Quote: “The biggest killer on the planet is stress, and I still think the best medicine is and always has been cannabis.” -Willie Nelson
